Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated Civil Litigation Attorney to manage a civil litigation caseload from intake through resolution. The attorney will work closely with our paralegal and case management teams and report to the firm’s Chief Attorney.
We are seeking a motivated Civil Litigation Attorney to manage a civil litigation caseload from intake through resolution. The attorney will work closely with our paralegal and case management teams and report to the firm’s Chief Attorney.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage an active civil litigation caseload from case evaluation through settlement or trial
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and legal memoranda
- Conduct legal research and develop case strategy
- Take and defend depositions; attend hearings, mediations and trial
- Communicate regularly with clients about case status and strategy
- Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel
- Supervise and collaborate with paralegals and support staff on case preparation
- Meet filing deadlines and maintain accurate case records
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.)
- Active member in good standing of The Florida Bar
- 3+ years of civil litigation experience
- Strong research, writing and oral advocacy skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Courtroom and trial experience
- Experience with legal case management software

Compensation: $95,000.00 - $112,000.00 per year
